1967 Ford Mustang
S Code 390 Car
Just in and should not last long is this very sharp 1967 Ford mustang Fastback powered by a great running 289 V8 and backed up by an automatic transmission. It started life from the factory as an S code 390 with an automatic transmission. The previous owner has owned this great driving American Classic since 1977 and when he purchased it had the 390 in it. He had the car completly restored in red and built up a great running 289 with a C4 transmission and pulled the big block and installed the small block to drive. The car comes with tons of receipts on the parts that were installed between 1980 - 1983 when the restoration was finsihed. This mustang has been out every year since but has not had much more than a total of a few thousand miles put on it the last 30 years. It was just taken out to a few car shows and local cruising every year. It is equipped with factory Am radio, fold down rear seat, style steel wheels, and dual exhaust. The black original interior is in excellent condition throughout. The red exterior has a great look and a nice shine but upon close inspection you can see some dings in the paint and it was not a 100 point paint job back in the 80's it has held up great with no visible blisters on the car. The quarters are in my opinion still the original quarters, frame rails, drop downs, and trunk floor which is almost unreal for a mustang. If a guy wants to make a show car I would have the car repainted but on the other hand it is too nice looking to repaint in my opinion. It is still riding on the same poly glass 14 inch wheels and tires that it did in 1980. If you are looking for a rare and hard to find S code to drive than enjoy this one while you build up a big block to install.
