About Shay Doyle:

Shay Doyle is our marketing assistant and description writer. A high-school student in his senior year, Shay has had a love of vintage metal since he was very young. Raised among classic cars by his grandfathers, he grew up around two very different family vehicles: a 1946 Chevrolet Pickup and a 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. Before leaving for college, he knew he had to work around classic vehicles for his job co-op opportunity. Ever since joining us in June of 2022, Shay has helped with writing descriptions, decoding VINs, trim tags, and engine numbers, editing videos, detailing, and more! Aside from his duties as a marketing assistant, Shay enjoys time in the customer service & outreach department by constantly volunteering to go to car cruises and loves being available to talk to customers at any time. With his quick wit, enthusiastic personality and devotion to all things automotive, Shay is always on hand when you need him!

Q & A

Q: "How many years of experience do you have?"

A: "This is my first year, and I've loved every minute."

Q: "When did you develop a love for classic cars or muscle cars in particular?"

A: "When I was very young. Both of my grand-dads had a love of all things automotive, and they passed that down to me. I grew up around the vehicles they were restoring, and I was always willing to lend a hand."

Q: "In regards to your job position, what are your strengths? What are you especially good at?"

A: "I'd like to say that I'm best with words, I suppose. I'm good at writing about cars, transmitting my passion for them into words for others to read. I love connecting with people who've had experiences with classic cars, and I really enjoy talking about the cars that we sell and why they're so special. Every one is unique in its own way."

Q: "What do you feel is special or unique about yourself and what qualifications do you bring that are a benefit to Coyote Classics & their customers?"

A: "I have a weird, almost encyclopedic knowledge of these cars and engines, especially their history. Throughout my life, I've just read book after book about these cars. I just like knowing their stories, as they represent the values, culture, and tastes of an America from days gone by. In appreciating the history and engineering of the cars we've got, we are better able to truly understand what we have to offer."

Q: "When it comes to cars, what are your specialties?"

A: "Well, for one, I can almost always tell a car's specs, color name and options just by looking at it. I think that's fun. I am able to recite the stories behind a car's engineering and the time of manufacture, as to why a car is special the way that it is. I also have an eye for detail, as I love making a car clean and beautiful. Even though I'm not a mechanic here, I also like to know the ins and outs of a car, how it all works and how a specific part serves its function."
