What we have here is an exceptional 1972 Pontiac LeMans Sport Convertible. The LeMans was Pontiac's offering for the subcompact to intermediate sized market segments and was an industry sales leader for years. For 1972, the last year of the 3rd-generation, the LeMans Sport trim (of which this car was an example) was available either as a two-door hardtop or convertible. It was equipped with "Strato" bucket seats and interiors from more luxury-fitted Pontiac models. On top of that, the "Sport" trim also came with the GTO's functional hood with air scoops. This golden '72 is powered by a 350 C.I. Pontiac V8 with a 4-barrel carburetor. Power is then given to the rear wheels by a 3-speed "TH-350" automatic transmission, delivering an exceptionally smooth ride. The paint has been buffed to a stunning gleam, allowing this LeMans to turn heads up and down the boulevard. In addition, this golden beauty is fitted with "Strato" bucket seats in white, matching the power convertible top. The center console and additional trim is wood grain, which shows no major cracks and is in great shape. The car comes equipped with a factory AM pushbutton radio, factory air conditioning, a heater, seatbelts, adjustable seats and mirrors, a working horn, power wipers, power brakes, and power steering. This fantastic LeMans rides on a new set of American Racing TT wheels on top of Cooper RWL tires. The air scoops on the GTO style hood are entirely functional, feeding that 350 V8 with the air it needs to power down the road. If you're looking for a unique, gleaming classic, then this '72 LeMans is the one for you!
