Built for competition, the fastback Fords of 1969 were nothing to scoff at. Champions of 1969's NASCAR season, the wind-cheating design and ultra-sleek, flowing bodylines of the Fairlane fastbacks are unmistakably beautiful in every sense of the word. This 1969 Ford Fairlane 500 represents the peak of both style and performance, wrapping up a 4-barreled V8 under the hood in conjunction with one of the best car designs the 1960s had to offer. Under the hood lies a timeless 351 C.I. "Windsor" V8 breathing through an Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor, putting out enough power to make this Fairlane one of the best muscle cruisers you could ask for. Torque is put to the pavement through a smooth-shifting 3-speed automatic transmission allowing this car to do it all, from highway cruising to simple trips around town. Arguably one of the best designs of the '60s and only around for two model years from '68 to '69, this '69 Ford Fairlane looks like a dream on four wheels. The exterior is gorgeously covered in "Bright Red" paint, bathing this car's laser-straight bodylines in a hue that's sure to turn heads anywhere it goes. That color scheme matches up to the chrome brightwork perfectly, as the gleaming arrow-shaped chrome trim makes this Fairlane seem like it's in motion even as it stands still. The benefit of a well-done restoration, the floors, frame, trunk and jambs on the car all all rock-solid! Opening the twin doors on this Fairlane reveals a stunningly-immaculate two-tone black and navy-blue interior, complete with comfy cloth & vinyl bench seats that are perfect for long-haul driving. As Ford's intermediate-sized car, there's plenty of room for family and friends as well! The four round gauges give the interior a very distinctive feel, and the woodgrain trim adds a splash of luxury to the car! Options on this jaw-dropping '69 Fairlane fastback include power steering, 4-wheel mechanical drum brakes (that stop hard!), a remote chrome driver's mirror, a woodgrain steering wheel, factory bullet-shaped gauges, an original AM pushbutton radio, air conditioning, a heater + defroster, and a sweet-sounding dual exhaust system. Keeping to the period-correct look are the slick Firestone "Wide-Oval" RWL tires over stock 14" GT wheels for an appearance straight out of 1969! With the 351 V8 under the hood and the 3-speed automatic backing it up, this '69 Fairlane runs and drives down the road wonderfully. With the breathtaking looks and muscle-cruiser capability that this Fairlane brings to the table, it's not going to be on the showroom floor for long, so don't let it pass you by! We'd love to see it in your driveway.
